Back in 2008, I was asked to add a couple of new pages to my school's website and got carried away quite a bit. Since then I've had the privilege of building software for startups, marketplaces, tech giants and banks.
My main focus these days is building web frontends and services for Schibsted Marketplaces. I most enjoy building software on the intersection of design and engineering - things that look good, but also are built well under the hood.
In my free time, I like prototyping and building pet projects, blogging my findings and trying out new tech.
Experience
During 10+ years in the industry I had a pleasure to work in E-commerce, Finance, Analytics and Infrastructure on great projects together with lots of smart and talented people.
I'm most experienced with a mix of JS and Java stacks, but also feel confident building in Python and Go.
Quality, Security and Usability are extra important to me when building products: Automated Testing, AppSec and UX are the development aspects I'm passionate about.
Joined as a Senior Frontend Developer replatforming existing
marketplaces to the Transactional platform - single solution to work
with multiple brands in multiple countries. Primarily worked in the
payments and bank account verification area - in charge of the Know
Your Customer frontend.
With that implemented and in maintenance mode switched to a
combination of Java Backend and JS Frontend in the Shipping domain -
extracting everything delivery-related into configurable
microservices that support brands in all countries. Working within
it at the moment.
